Julio Verne

Se cumplen 185 años del nacimiento de JULIO VERNE.

 Jules Verne was born in Nantes (France), to Pierre Verne and Sophie Allote de la FuÿeHe. As a child, he developed a great interest in travel and exploration, a passion he showed as a writer of adventure stories and science fiction.

Jules Gabriel Verne (February 8, 1828 – March 24, 1905) was a french author who pioneered the science fiction genre in Europe.

Many of Jules Verne's novels involve elements of technology that were fantastic for the day but later became commonplace.  Verne wrote numerous books, most famous of which are the 55 novels that comprise the Voyages Extraordinaires. He also wrote short stories, essays, plays, and poems:
